Why choose VideoXLink?

VideoXLink was developed to take cutting edge IP technology to remote production, contribution, and distribution.
Our XLink protocol simplifies the setup and configuration of our products, so that no deep IT knowledge is needed.
It also secures the communication between XLinks, keeping your data safe.

VideoXLink will maximize your investment on a daily basis as it offers total flexibility together with all VideoXLink systems to be full duplex, providing simultaneous encoding and decoding.
We take pride in our products; each XLink is assembled and tested in-house before shipping to ensure they live up to our high standard of quality.

Video encoding in several codecs

H.264, H.265 and VC5 are implemented as standard.
Want to change codec? You can do it by the next frame!

Audio and video always at sync

No need to worry about drifting audio – we’ve made sure it's always synced, whether you use PCM or compressed.
Support for 16 to 64 audio channels, depending on what standard you choose to work in, is enabled from the start.

Fully synchronized multi-camera sessions

We guarantee that you don't have to compromise anything in your REMI remote camera workflow when using our multi-camera configuration.

Quality in 10-bit and 4:2:2 chroma

Our XLinks can encode full HD signals to 10 bit 4:2:2 in just a few milliseconds.

Built for the Internet and closed networks

While we built the XLink protocol to use the Internet as its primary connection, it still fully supports transmission over closed networks.

Ultra-low latency encoding

Our products are transmitting video signals in ultra-low latency - FEC and resending included!

The unique XLink Layer 2 Data Trunk

Let us introduce you to the XLink Layer 2 Data Trunk! This is a virtual switch between different VideoXLink systems for connecting two or more production networks.
Since it works as a regular switch on Layer 2, it doesn’t require any IP configuration.

When creating an XLink Layer 2 Data Trunk you simply select an available network port on the system and then connect a network cable to your existing network. This network is now available on the other VideoXLink systems included in the XLink Layer 2 Data Trunk you created. The IP based systems connected to the VideoXLink on the other side will receive the IP from your production network from the DHCP server and, just like that, everything works as it usually does in your production network, without any fuzz!

SMPTE ST 2110

In 2023 we launched a line of revised XLinks- the XLink R2s.
The R2s support ST 2110 as well as NDI and SDI.
Not only that, but they can also convert between the three standards.
Receiving in SDI and want to send out ST 2110? You can do that in the receiving unit.
Change your mind and want to try it in NDI? You don’t even have to restart your XLink.

Audio wise, supporting ST 2110-30, levels A, B and C means you have up to 64 audio channels to play around with from the get-go.

NMOS

When working with SMPTE ST 2110, you need a way to manage your workflow.
All XLinks with ST 2110 capabilities support NMOS – the set of interface
specifications describing how to detect, register, and manage ST 2110 devices
and streams on IP networks.

We use IS-04 for discovery and registration of our devices and IS-05 for managing the connections between them.

Say goodbye to the cloud and pre-booked fiber connections!

We don't believe in using cloud services for video transmission. That's why the VideoXLink system builds itself. By using the safety features inside the XLink tunnels, the transmission itself can be transmitted over ordinary Internet connections. With VideoXLink there’s no need for pre-booked fiber connections for the transmission systems - the XLink handles it for you.

XLink Management GUI

All our products have the XLink Configuration GUI installed. By connecting to one XLink, you'll be able to access all the devices in your network as long as they’re online. You don't have to login into different pages - you'll find all settings in one place, regardless of where in the world your XLinks are located. And the GUI is, of course, mobile-friendly.
